Peacekeeper Cause-Metics is het eerste bedrijf dat al haar winst doneert aan vrouwen&mensenrechten organisaties.
Daardoor bouwt Peacekeeper Cause-Metics een ‘brug’ tussen vrouwen in de westerse wereld en vrouwen in derdewereldlanden, die door het lot niet in een westers land zijn geboren en het dus niet vanzelfsprekend is dat zij bijvoorbeeld een opleiding krijgen.

Peacekeeper Cause-Metics wil alleen met mensen werken die diezelfde visie hebben als zij, dus als een van hun contactpersonen in de bedrijven waarmee zij samenwerken maar de indruk wekt dat zij mensen exploiteren in welke vorm dan ook, dan breekt Peacekeeper Cause-Metics alle banden met het desbetreffende bedrijf. PeaceKeeper’s Lip Paints zijn genomeerd voor ‘best lipproduct of the year’ door Cosmetics Excutive Woman (CEW). Hun product kreeg een 1 op de schaal van miliue-schadelijkhead (1 is niet schadelijk, 10 heel schadelijk).

De lipsticks smeren makkelijk uit, ze zijn heel romig! Me like.

• beeswax - produced from the hives of honey bees. it is estimated that these bees fly approximately 150,000 miles to produce one pound of beeswax. right now there is an alert in the science and agriculture sectors because the bee colonies are disappearing.
• carnauba wax - derived from the leaves of a brazilian plant called the carnauba palm (copernicia prunifera).
• candelilla wax is euphorbiaceae and is derived from the leaves of the candelilla shrub which is native to mexico and the usa.
• shea butter -extracted from the fruit of the shea tree. shea butter has strong moisturing and anti-inflammatory properties.
• castor oil - comes from an evergreen shrub that has been used medicinally for about 4,000 years. castor oil contains lectins which are carbohydrate binding proteins.
• jojoba oil – a wax produced from the seeds of the jojoba plant, simmondsia chinensis which can be found in the southern united states and mexico. jojoba is high in fatty acids.
• grapeseed oil – a vegetable oil pressed from the seeds of vitis vinifera grapes. grapeseed oil possesses regenerative ingredients for the skin such as high levels of linoleic acid, anti-oxidants, vitamin c, vitamin e, beta-carotene, omega 3-6-9 and other skin revitalizing ingredients. alpha-tocopherol is known as the most biological antioxidant in humans.
• tocopherol – also known as vitamin e,  a fat-soluble antioxidant. vitamin e plays an important role in protection against free radicals that contribute to chronic illnesses.
• may contain (+/-): mica - a silicate mineral from the earth and whose name comes from the latin word micare, which means “shine”. mica use dates back way back to pre-historic times with the earliest use found in paleolithic cave paintings.
• may contain (+/-): carmine – (the creepy crawly of our make-up line) is a pigment derived from carminic acid from the scales of certain insects such as the cochineal. vegans and folks not turned on by bugs should not use the products we make with carmine. carmine is the only red color alternative to synthetic fd&c coloring, so we feel it is the better choice.
• may contain (+/-): titanium dioxide - is the natural occurring oxide of titanium, a substance mined from the earth. the website skin deep, which measures toxicity in make-up, indicates that titanium dioxide has “little absorption and no adverse health effects”. titanium dioxide can be found in toothpastes and other food substances as well. peacekeeper would like to see more concrete research as data gaps remain, titanium dioxide is rated very safe by all accounts though working with the substance can cause lung and respiratory problems.
• may contain (+/-): iron oxides - consist of sixteen known compounds of either oxides or hydroxides and oxidehydroxides. iron oxide yields pigments which are used in cosmetics. they are considered non-toxic.
• may contain (+/-): ultramarines - are found in the earth and are considered to be non-toxic.

De lippenbalsem smeert ook supermakkelijk uit, alleen de geur is een beetje hinderlijk, hij ruikt namelijk naar tandpasta
De geur trekt na een tijdje gelukkig wel weg.

Hij maakt mijn lippen wel lekker zacht en omdat hij zo smeerbaar is, doe je er volgens mij best lang mee.
